What We Know About the IONIQ 6
Familiar Architecture
The IONIQ 6 features the same build as introduced with the IONIQ 5 model: the Hyundai Motor Group’s electric-global modular platform (E-GMP). Thanks to this platform, the IONIQ 6 will enjoy universal charging capability, simplified maintenance and repair protocols, and spacious interior designs thanks to the modular and compact EV platform.
Two Battery Choices
There are two available battery choices for the IONIQ 6, the long-range 77.4-kWh pack with rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive, or the 53-kWh standard battery working with a rear-wheel-drive motor. The top-of-the-line dual-motor option has a horsepower rating of 320 (293 kW), a torque rating of 446 lbs-ft (605 Nm), and a zero-to-100-km/h sprint time of 5.1 seconds. Initial range EPA ratings are between 450 and 500km of range.
Upgraded Interior
The IONIQ 6 takes the spacious interior introduced in the IONIQ 5 to the next level. The modular touchscreen dashboard integrates a 12-inch full-touch infotainment display, a 12-inch digital cluster, and a flat-bottomed sport steering wheel. Other features include the Dual-Ambient lighting, Speed Sync Lighting, Relaxation Comfort Seating, and the next generation of Hyundai SmartSense Technology.
